Nowruz is the day that abundance, prosperity, fate, and above all, unity and solidarity are highlighted more than ever. In this context, Nevruz celebrations were held on March 21st at the Cacabey Square in Kırşehir. Kırşehir Governor H. Mete Buhara, along with provincial protocol, civil society organizations, and citizens, attended the celebrations. The event began with the lighting of the Nowruz fire, followed by making wishes, jumping over the fire, and forging iron.

Attending the celebrations, Rector of KAEÜ Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil stated, "We are faced with the danger of gradually forgetting and losing such precious traditions, which are like the mortar between the building blocks that constitute our nation. Every individual should show the same sensitivity to preserving even the smallest detail that makes us who we are and transferring our culture to future generations. I congratulate our Nowruz Festival, which has served friendship, brotherhood, and represented love for nature throughout our history, and I wish abundance, prosperity, and healthy days." The Nowruz event, which received great interest and appreciation, concluded with the distribution of various gifts.
