The ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certificate, implemented at KAEU, has been extended for another 3 years following the external audit conducted by the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE). The external audit process, which began with the opening meeting held on December 27, 2023, in the KAEU Senate Hall, concluded on December 29, 2023, after evaluations conducted by a four-member external audit team in 14 different units over three days.

The closing meeting of the external audit was held in the KAEU Senate Hall with the participation of the university's top management and the Quality Management Coordination team. During the closing meeting, Quality Management Coordinator and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin ŞİMŞEK emphasized that ISO standards had been implemented at the university since 2017 and had been internalized by all units and employees. Şimşek highlighted the decision to extend the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certificate for another 3 years following the external audit. Expressing gratitude to the Quality Management Coordinator deputies, the coordination team, and all stakeholders who contributed to the process, Şimşek bid farewell to the external audit team.
