The students of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University organized a march for the soldiers who were martyred in the clashes with terrorists in the Pençe-Kilit Operation region in northern Iraq. The march, attended by thousands of students, started in front of the Rectorate Building and ended at the Ahi Evran University Mosque. Carrying Turkish flags and the photos of the martyred soldiers, the students condemned terrorism.


First, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Özata made a brief speech on the field. Özata expressed his sorrow for our martyrs, stating, "I extend my condolences to the families of our heroic soldiers who were martyred in the clashes with treacherous terrorists in the Pençe-Kilit Operation region, and I wish urgent healing for our wounded soldiers. We strongly condemn these attacks on our unity, togetherness, peace, and security. May our nation rest in peace." Following the speeches, the names of our martyrs were read, and together, everyone said, "present."

In the march accompanied by the students' slogans, it was once again evident that Turkish youth stand united against terrorism. The students chanted slogans such as "Vatan  Sana Canım Feda”, “Ne Mutlu Türküm  Diyene!”, “Şehitler Ölmez Vatan Bölünmez". After the march, a symbolic funeral prayer was performed, and prayers were offered. The event organized by the Directorate of Health, Culture, and Sports was attended by Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Musa Özata and Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek, Secretary-General Dr. Hüseyin İlter, along with many students and staff.
