On December 12, 2023, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil met with Green Crescent volunteers at the Green Crescent Society Branch in Kırşehir. Before the meeting, Rector Karahocagil visited the branch's management with Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş, accompanied by the Chairman of the Green Crescent Youth Commission Hayriye Üzümcü, and the President of the Young Green Crescent Community Gamze Tiryaki. During the meeting, Rector Karahocagil emphasized the significance of the activities conducted by the Green Crescent at the university and throughout the province. He highlighted the university's responsibility in producing societal services, considering it as part of the EFQM process and an essential aspect of the Akhism philosophy. Emphasizing the Akhism philosophy's mission of promoting goodness and preventing evils, Rector Karahocagil underscored the importance of Green Crescent's preventive efforts against addiction for individuals, their surroundings, and the community as a whole.

Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil expressed that these efforts should be carried out not just as a sense of duty but with a philanthropic approach. He stated, "Increasing the number of good deeds, preventing evils and injustices is our fundamental duty as administrators. Our first goal is to reach the whole world, starting with a healthy campus and our immediate surroundings. We need to collaborate to create a culture of collaboration, to participate in the same project, to work with a team spirit, and to work harder and fight more to make our voice heard by more people." 

Rector Karahocagil emphasized the importance of coming together under common goals, stating that communities engaging in activities together aimed not only to uplift the particularity of Kırşehir but also to save our common spiritual geography, and even all of humanity. He highlighted the significance of contributing to these efforts.

Finally, answering questions from students, Rector Karahocagil expressed gratitude for the collaboration with Green Crescent and the awareness-raising efforts conducted at the university.

At the end of the program, Green Crescent volunteers who participated in the Health Literacy Workshop hosted by our university were presented with certificates, and plaques were awarded to Green Crescent members who handed over their duties. Finally, in commemoration of the day, Green Crescent Branch President Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş presented a gift to Rector Karahocagil.
