KAEU, completing the quality processes and recently awarded the 5-Star Excellence Level by EFQM, continues to share the Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS) with other universities. In this context, a Training and Consultation Program for Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS) was conducted in collaboration between Van Yüzüncü Yıl University and Kırşehir Ahi Evran University. Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek, and Quality Management Coordinator Assistant Ekrem Öztürk participated in the IQMS training and consultation program, designed to be implemented in all academic and administrative processes of Van YYU.

Programda konuşan Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, akademik hayatının başlangıcından profesörlüğe kadar Van Yüzüncü Yıl Üniversitesindeki yaklaşık 16 yıllık akademik geçmişinden dolayı kendini evinde hissettiğini belirtti. Rektör Karahocagil, Kırşehir Ahi Evran Üniversitesi olarak güzel bir ekiple sekiz yıldır ciddi bir çalışma ortaya koyduklarını ve bu çalışmanın neticesinde ön plana çıkan iki yazılımlarının olduklarını ifade etti. İç kalite güvence sistemleri olarak kurguladıkları bu uygulamada iki adet yazılım geliştirdiklerini bunlardan birinin Bütünleşik Kalite Yönetim Sistemi olduğunu ifade eden Karahocagil, BKYS’nin Sanayi ve Ticaret Bakanlığı’ndan kamu kategorisinde ödül almış ve yurt dışında tanıtımı bakanlık organizasyonu ile yapılmış olan bir program olduğuna dikkat çekti.

In his speech, Rector of KAEÜ Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, who expressed his happiness for implementing the Integrated Quality Management System at Van YYÜ, emphasized that success could not be achieved solely by introducing and implementing software. Rector Karahocagil said, 'In fact, we base all our quality work on the philosophy of Akhism. Establishing a standard for the service or product, setting a standard for the education required to perform that profession, checking when these standards are not followed, and imposing sanctions when necessary—all of these constitute a quality movement within the framework of the Akhism organization. Therefore, we grounded all our quality work in Akhism. That's why we have presented a value-based quality movement.'"
IQMS is an organization that meets THEQC criteria
The Rector, Prof. Dr. Hamdullah Şevli, who announced the news of starting to use the Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS) software within the program, stated, 'This software, which will be used at our university, consists of different modules, including Strategic Plan Management, Internal Control Management, Process Management, Activity Plans Management, Risk Management, Stakeholder Relations Management, Supplier Relations Management, Improvement Activities Management, Document Management, Report, System Authorization, and Announcement/Mail. With its structure, IQMS provides an infrastructure that allows us to monitor the criteria and sub-criteria that meet the performance-based criteria of the Higher Education Quality Board (THEQC) in all our units and provides evidence-based quality assurance at the institutional level.'
After the speeches, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek, the Vice Rector of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, provided general information about the Integrated Quality Management System. He addressed topics such as 'The Purpose of Integrating Quality Management Systems, IQMS Application, and the Use of Modules.' On December 11-12, training sessions were conducted to inform academic and administrative unit representatives as well as quality unit representatives about the implementation of the Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS). The training sessions covered various topics such as 'the Definition of a Strategic Plan, Risk Management Procedures, Management of Improvement Activities, Authorization Procedures, and Internal Control Management.'
