Millions of trees were planted on November 11 National Forestration Day in line with the campaign "Breath for the Future, Breath for Republic", which is organized with the support of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Governor H. Mete Buhara, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Provincial Police Chief Erdoğan Kartal, Director of Department of Forestry Alper Çimen, unit managers, and represantitives of the political partis and non-governmental organizations attended the meaningful event.

The event was held In the area at the 3rd kilometer of Boztepe highway. The musical recital prepared by Fine Arts High School teachers and students revived the event. The tree planting ceremony, held at 11.11, continued with a tour of the stands and a nature walk. Rector Karahocagil said that they acted with the aim of leaving a livable green nature to future generations with the forestation works they carried out in the campus and Kırşehir, and stated that Kırşehir became greener every day.
