The opening of the II. AR-GE Project Market and University Promotion Days, organized by the Association of Anatolian Universities (AÜB) at Gaziosmanpaşa University, has occurred. President of TÜBİTAK Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal and Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil attended the opening of the event as well as the rectors of the member universities, researchers, representatives of the universities, and students. The Office of Press and Public Relations Counselor carried out the promotion activities while the Technology Transfer Office and Faculty of Engineering and Architecture participated in the II. AR-GE Project Market and University Promotion Days.
Making the opening speech, Rector of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz cursed the tragedy taking place in Palestine. In his speech, Yılmaz stated that Turkiye has been making a breakthrough recently, especially in the field of technology, and that they wanted to contribute to this breakthrough, at least to some extent. President of TÜBİTAK Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal shared information about the work carried out by TÜBİTAK in his speech. Stating that one of the supporters of the 2nd R&D Project Market is TUBITAK, Mandal wished the initiative to be beneficial. Saying that we were going through a difficult period, Mandal stated that we needed to be good at science and technology to be strong. Stating that there was a need to cooperate more, President Mandal said that Turkiye ranked first in the world in unmanned aerial vehicles. Finally, Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal gave detailed information about the support programs within TUBITAK.
Rector Karahocagil stated that our country should use its sources effectively. Karahocagil expressed that such events organized collaboratively contribute to the added value of our country. Director of PETLAS R&D Erdin Onat and Business Process Development Director of Şık Makas Derya Mutlu made their presentations after the opening speeches.
The program continued with the opening of the Project Poster Area. Protocol, who carried out the opening of the foyer area, visited the stands, as well as the stands of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University. The II. R&D Project Market and University Promotion Days program will continue with various events on 8-9 November 2023.
