The Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil emphasized the importance of diversity in the number of foreign students during his unit visit and noted that their priority was not only to provide students from a limited number of countries but also to ensure that quality students come from many nationalities. Rector Karahocagil, who received information about the latest situation during his visit to the Office of Foreign Relations, said, "We will establish good relations with primary sources of other countries. These resources are MoNE, Maarif Foundation, and Yunus Emre Institutes. We will develop our cooperation with these institutions, and organize exams in cooperation. Thus, we will reach many students and have the opportunity to select higher quality students". Karahocagil said that they knew that investing in the future with a strong team would lead to positive results for the city, country, and university. At the meeting, where the details of the KA131 and KA171 Erasmus programs were discussed, it was noted that the number of countries the university has connections with would increase with the Project of Orhun Institute. Stating that they were planning to establish a 'Guest Student Office' at the meeting, Rector Karahocagil noted that thanks to this office, they aimed to strengthen the dialogue with foreign students, overcome language problems more easily, and accelerate the adaptation process within a plan. The Foreign Relations Office plans to organize a monthly event in which foreign students promote their own country, aiming for the students to get used to the school and the city more quickly. Finally, during his unit visit, Rector Karahocagil also met with KAEU Palestinian students, whose country is currently at war. He chatted with the students and made a speech emphasizing the human tragedy in Gaza, what could be done, and that they were ready to help in everything.

The Year 2024 could be Announced as the Year of Futuwwat (Turkish-Islamic Guild); The Institute of Ahi-Order is Planning to be Established

The second visit of the day was to the Ahi Community Culture Research and Application Center. Kırşehir is known as the center of the Ahi-Order tradition and Kırşehir-centered celebrations are organized throughout the country annually. Rules and regulations of Turkish-Islamic guilds, which are the basis of the Ahi-Order, are characterized by virtues such as sacrifice, kindness, philanthropy, tolerance, and self-control that have religious and mystical foundations. During the meeting, it was discussed that 2024 would be the year of 'Futuwwat', within the proposal of the Ministry of National Education. Futuwwat readings would be held in the mansion at the Ahilik Culture Research Center. It was reported that chambers of tradesmen, schools, other NGOs, and institutions will be invited and the center will become more active. Stating that it is always possible to see the practical form of Ahi-Order in daily life, Rector Karahocagil said, "This is a center that advises the truth and good. It is not difficult to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life here in this historical building. Because here is one of those places that make people think by taking a few steps back and looking at themselves, their surroundings, and what they do from a different perspective, and make them imagine,”. Karahocagil also noted that they attached importance to the establishment of boards of trustees and the establishment of joint activities by collaborating with institutions, and pointed out that ensuring dissemination and drawing a direction towards the right and the good is one of the building blocks of Ahi-Order. At the meeting, where the plan to establish the Ahi-Order Institute was brought to the agenda, it was informed that efforts would be made to open new fields in Ahi-Order studies in Kırşehir, thanks to qualified studies. In addition, a consensus was reached to explain Ahi-Order abroad through TIKA, organize symposiums, and organize a Social Sciences Congress with 81 Young Ahis from 81 Provinces.
