Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, which is well-known for its quality work, continues to take important steps in the quality process. KAEU, which first embarked on the quality journey in 2015, became the first state university in Turkiye to receive the Quality Management System Certificate with all its units. Having successfully completed the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP) process, which is another step in the quality processes, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University has completed another important criterion for quality processes in Turkish higher education with IAP.

KAEU, which has become a model in quality processes with the Quality Management System Certificate and IAP, is now gearing up for another step in quality processes, the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM Excellence Model). Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, which confidently progresses in quality processes for the EFQM Excellence Model, first held the EFQM Excellence Model Introduction Meeting and then started the EFQM Excellence Model Training. KAEU, which aims to establish quality in our country, one of most important needs of Turkiye, has now been certified its successes in quality work. Kırşehir Ahi Evran University's journey of superior performance in the EFQM will continue successfully, as it is in the quality process. In this context, the preparation work has been completed at our university, which has applied for the within the scope of "EFQM Recognition and Award Program" , for the "Competency Stages in Superior Performance" in the year 2023. The preparation work for the EFQM Recognition and Award Program, which started with the introduction of the EFQM Model in 2020, followed by training and self-assessment studies, included entries to the EQFM system and the transition to the field preparation stage for the Competency Stages in Superior Performance.

The criteria working groups determined for the seven criteria of the EFQM Model prepared the application document consisting of 174 pages, which includes the responsible units for "What we do (Approach), How we do it (Deployment), How and when we review it (Assessment and improvement), How we demonstrate it (Evidence), and Outcomes" for their own criteria and sub-criteria.

In addition to the criteria working groups, Unit EFQM Representatives were determined from each unit, who will carry out the preparation work for the field evaluation to be held on October 3-6, 2023.
