Farewell to Our 2022-2023 Graduates
Kırşehir Ahi Evran University (KAEU), which has been rapidly growing and expanding physically since its establishment, bid farewell to its 2022-2023 academic year graduates with a magnificent ceremony on June 19, 2023. As a university that is dedicated to providing its students with a quality education to prepare them for the future, the graduation ceremony of KAEU took place at our university stadium with the participation of thousands of people from all over Turkiye. The ceremony was attended by Kırşehir Governor Hüdayar Mete Buhara, Members of Parliament Necmettin Erkan and Metin İlhan, Mayor Selahattin Ekicioğlu, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, members of the local protocol, academic and administrative staff, as well as students and their families.
The Graduation Ceremony Started with a Moment of Silence for the 6th February Earthquakes
The ceremony began with a performance by the Kırşehir Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate's folk dance team. The folk dance performance, led by Seda İlanbey, showcased figures from our folklore. Following that, KAEU, which has taken significant steps towards internationalization by bringing together all the colors of the world, displayed the Turkish flag as well as the flags and banners of guest countries. Afterwards, the graduating students from faculties and vocational schools were invited to the stage. As the students took their places, a moment of silence was carried out in memory of the students who lost their lives in the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, as well as all our fellow citizens who passed away. The national anthem, the "İstiklal Marşı," was then recited. Subsequently, the flag and banner handover ceremony took place. Our glorious flag was handed over from the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture to Ali Eyidoğan, and from the Faculty of Islamic Sciences to Gülüzar Akın. The university's flag, on the other hand, was handed over to Aycan Kırkbunar from the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, and to Yusuf Tek from the Faculty of Islamic Sciences.
KAEU Has Graduated 3264 Students
Later in the graduation ceremony, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, delivered the opening speech. Addressing the thousands of students and their families, Rector Karakaya acknowledged that this graduation ceremony was held under the shadow of the devastating earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş on February 6th. He expressed his condolences and prayers for the Ahi Evran University students who lost their lives in the earthquakes: Ayşe Yağmur Kahveci, Canan Kozak, Fadime Çevik, Murat Yılmaz, Sılanur Kısa, and Zehra Küçük. Rector Karakaya also expressed his condolences and wished strength to their families.
Rector Karakaya announced that today, 3264 students would graduate from KAEU Stadium, and he emphasized that they shared this joy and happiness with the families present at the ceremony.
According to the 2023 statistics, KAEU ranked 14th in quality education and 21st in healthcare.
Rector Karakaya noted that Kırşehir Ahi Evran University is a young, ambitious institution that continues on its path with confidence, having received numerous patents and awards, and has significant potential to become a respected university both nationally and globally. KAEU has 10 faculties, 3 vocational schools, 7 vocational colleges, and 3 institutes, catering to over 20,000 students. The university has grown physically, with the construction of nearly 22 buildings, expanding its infrastructure fivefold.
Karakaya mentioned that KAEU has emerged as one of the best universities in Turkiye in terms of quality. The university has established two nationally patented quality brands, AYDEP and IQMS, and holds the distinction of being the only university among state universities established after 2006 to receive a 5-year Full Institutional Accreditation from THEQC. With the IQMS quality assurance system, KAEU deserved the second place in the productivity project of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. Additionally, in the international THE Impact 2023 rankings, the university has achieved the 14th position in Quality Education and the 21st position in the field of Healthcare among Turkish universities.
TÜBİTAK’a Göre 27 Araştırma Alanında En İyi Üniversiteler Arasındayız
TÜBİTAK tarafından 2023 yılında hazırlanan raporla ilgili verileri paylaşan Rektör Karakaya, ‘‘Üniversitelerin Alan Bazlı Yetkinlik Analizi raporuna göre, üniversitemiz ihtisaslaşma hedeflerini de kapsayan Gıda, Tarım, Hayvancılık, Sağlık, Bilgi ve İletişim Teknolojileri, Fizik ve Matematik gibi 27 araştırma alanında en iyi üniversiteler arasına girerek yeni bir başarıya imza attık’’ dedi. Karakaya, ihtisaslaşan üniversite misyonlarıyla bölge ve şehir için; ceviz otomasyon merkezi, çiftçilerimizle kaba yem üretimi, Ar-Ge seramızda 50’den fazla proje, 150 yataklı Fizik Tedavi Rehabilitasyon Merkezi, geleneksel ve tamamlayıcı tıp merkezi, sporcu sağlığı merkezi gibi merkezlerle hizmet alanları açtıklarını belirtti.
İşlerinizi Ahilik Anlayışı İçinde Yapın
Son olarak gençlere seslenen Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, Anadolu topraklarında yetişen gençlerin Anadolu irfanıyla nasıl başarılı ve erdemli olduklarını olabileceklerini göstermelerini istedi. Karakaya konuşmasında ‘’İşinizi Ahilik anlayışı ile yapacaksınız. Öncü ve farklı olacaksınız. Vatanını en çok sevenin görevini en iyi yapan olduğunu unutmadan işlerinize dört elle sarılacaksınız. Günün sonunda ise baki kalanın şu gök kubbede hoş bir sada bırakmak olduğunu da aklınızdan çıkarmayınız’’ diyerek sonlandırdı.
Üniversitemiz Rektörü Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya’nın ardından Kırşehir Valisi Hüdayar Mete Buhara, Milletvekilleri Necmettin Erkan ve Metin İlhan, Belediye Başkanı Selahattin Ekicioğlu da birer konuşma yaparak gençlerden Kırşehir’in gönül elçileri olmalarını, bu güzel şehre ileride mutlaka uğramalarını ve insanlığa hizmet noktasında yaptıkları işlerde olumlu katkılar sunmalarını istediler.
Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesinden Üniversite Birincimize Şed Kuşatıldı, Tüm Mezun Öğrencilere Ahilik Yemini Ettirildi
Mezuniyet Töreni, 3.85 not ortalamasıyla üniversite birincisi olan Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Ebelik Programı mezunu Elif Beyza Tosun’un konuşması ve mezuniyet kütüğüne plaka çakmasıyla devam etti. Tosun konuşmasında bugünün kendisi için çok kıymetli olduğunu üniversiteyi birinci bitirmenin gururunu yaşadığını söyledi. Bir ebe olarak toplum sağlığını destekçisi ve danışmanı olması nedeniyle görevlerinin bulunduğunu belirten üniversite birincisi Elif Beyza Tosun üzerinde emeği olan herkese teşekkür etti. Tosun’un mezuniyet kütüğüne plaka çakmasının ardından Kırşehir Valisi Hüdayar Mete Buhara ve Üniversitemiz Rektörü Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya Elif Beyza Tosun’a birinicilik ödülü ve belgelerini takdim ederek teşekkür ettiler. Son olarak ise her öğrencinin Ahilik Kültürü ve Medeniyeti dersi aldığı üniversitemizde bu medeniyetin tasavvuru olarak süre gelen şed kuşatma töreni yapıldı. Üniversitemiz birincisine şedini Rektör Karakaya kuşattı. Temsili şed kuşatma töreninin ardından tüm öğrencilere Ahilik Yemini yaptırıldı.
2022-2023 Akademik Yılı Mezuniyet Töreni Kep Atma ve Konserlerle Sona Erdi
Konuşmaların ardından fakülte, yüksekokul ve meslek yüksekokulu düzeyinde dereceye giren öğrencilerimize mezuniyet belgeleri ve ödülleri verildi. Birim bazında ödül töreni gerçekleşmesinin ardından mezun öğrencilerimiz keplerini havaya fırlatarak mezuniyet coşkusunu yaşadı. 2022-2023 Akademik Yılı mezuniyet töreni üç ayrı konserle sona erdi.
