The 'Ahi Competence-Based Education Project (AYDEP) and Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS)' developed by Kırşehir Ahi Evran University was introduced to Nevşehir Hacıbektaş Veli University (NEVÜ) at the meeting at the Gülşehir Hall of NEVÜ Vali Şinasi Kuş Culture and Congress Center on March 9, 2023. Vice-Rector of KAEU and Coordinator of Quality Assurance in Education Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, KAEU Quality Management Deputy-Coordinator Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek, Vice-Rectors of NEVÜ Prof. Dr. Mutluhan Akın, Prof. Dr. Şahlan Öztürk and Prof. Dr. Özlem Fındık, KAEU Quality Management Deputy-Coordinator Ekrem Öztürk, Asst. Prof. Dr. Isa Bahat and NEVÜ academic and administrative staff attended the meeting.
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Vice-Rector of NEVÜ Prof Dr. Mutluhan Akın stated as follows: "As NEVÜ, we believe that it is important to work on improving the quality of education. At this meeting, our guests from Kırşehir Ahi Evran University will share details about the 'Ahi Competence-Based Education Project and Integrated Quality Management System' developed by them with us. I would like to state once again that we are honored to host them at our university”. Speaking after Akın, Vice-Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil gave general information about 'AYDEP and Integrated Quality Management System' and stated that these projects were carried out in order to manage the accreditation processes in education and training and to increase the quality of educational activities.
Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek, KAEU Quality Management Deputy-Coordinator, gave comprehensive information about the quality studies in Turkiye, ISO 9001 Quality Management Standards and Higher Education Quality processes, and the 'Integrated Quality Management System', a licensed software developed by KAEU. Şimşek explained how the realization levels of Strategic Plan Monitoring Evaluations and Strategic Plan Performance Indicator targets were monitored via IQMS. Prof. Dr. Şimşek gave information about how the Process Management Module, Activity Plan Module, Risk Management Module, Improvement Plans, and other modules of the IQMS software were managed within the framework of the PDCA cycle. Moreover, Asst. Prof. Dr. Isa Bahat made a presentation.
