Kırşehir Ahi Evran University organized a mawlid program for those who lost their lives in Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes, one of the biggest natural disasters in the history of the Republic of Turkiye. Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Secretary-General Mehmet Zeki Küçük, academic and administrative staff, students, and citizens attended the program held on February 24, 2023, before the Friday prayer.

The mawlid program started with the Qur'an Recitation. After the Qur'an recitation, mawlid and prayers were recited for our students, staff, and relatives of our students who lost their lives in the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, and for all other citizens who lost their lives in the earthquakes.

Expressing his condolences to all citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake disaster, the Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya stated that the disaster in 10 provinces affected the whole of Turkiye and wished that such a tragedy would not occur again.
