Kırşehir Ahi Evran University continues to provide aid to the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquake zones, described as the century's disaster. The teams formed by our university to support the children in the quake-affected zones set up three tent kindergartens in the Binevler and Aksu neighborhoods of the Onikisubat district of Kahramanmaraş.
A team consisting of 12 students and faculty members established three kindergartens in the region in tents with heaters supplied by Kırşehir. Instructors Muhammed Köstekçi, Gamze Saatçi, and Sinan Özcan, and volunteer students, organized various activities and supported tens of children to overcome feelings such as loneliness and anxiety that might occur after the disaster by providing rehabilitation support to children. Activities such as face painting, free painting, costume play, dancing, and film screenings were held with children. The aim of the activities completed with the most basic materials that should be in a kindergarten was to help children overcome the physical and psychological effects of the earthquake. The activities of the teams will continue alternately in the mobile kindergartens, which were created to help children overcome the effects of the earthquake on their psychology and cheer them up.
