Kırşehir Ahi Evran University continues its efforts to heal the wounds caused by the earthquake disaster in Turkiye. Our university, which previously established a mobile kitchen in the quake zone and provided in-kind assistance, has now started to provide health and rehabilitation services to the disaster victims in Hatay and Kahramanmaraş with the help of volunteer instructors and students.

Since the first day, our university continues to support our citizens who were affected by the earthquake disaster. Our team, who stayed in the zone for 5 days and served a hot breakfast, lunch, and dinner to a total of 15 thousand people, came back to Kırşehir. Our university delivered aid supplies collected via the in-kind aid campaign to the earthquake zone with five vehicles, which was launched after the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, which is called the disaster of the century. KAEU has now taken action for health and psychosocial support. While our university, in coordination with AFAD, started to provide health services to earthquake victims in Kahramanmaraş and Hatay, where there is intensive quake rubble, it acts with the spirit of solidarity in order to overcome the troublesome process. Our team provides first aid services to our quake-affected citizens and supports young children with the kindergarten they have established with the aim of cheering them up. Rector Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya said that they worked to support the region from the very first moment and that they would continue to help the disaster victims as much as they could. Karakaya thanked all the staff and students who contributed to their efforts.
