Kırşehir Ahi Evran University started an aid campaign to send basic necessities to the earthquake victims. The materials collected in the aid campaign, which began on February 6, 2023, will be sent to the earthquake zone in coordination with Kırşehir Provincial AFAD.

Kırşehir Ahi Evran University has established in-kind aid collection centers in Bağbaşı Central and Cacabey Campuses for our personnel who want to help with winter clothes, blankets, heaters, cleaning and hygiene materials, and durable dry legumes products for our citizens affected by the earthquake that occurred in many cities, especially in Kahramanmaraş, the epicenter of the earthquake. In the collection centers, university staff and students organized the aids and placed them in boxes. Our personnel, who supplied the necessary materials through in-kind aid, continue to deliver their aid to the designated centers. Rector Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya made a statement on the subject, "As the university, we reflected upon what we could do for our earthquake victims. First of all, we started to collect in-kind aid from our university staff by establishing an in-kind help desk, under the coordination of Kırşehir Provincial AFAD, yesterday. We will try to deliver what is collected daily to our citizens in the earthquake zone immediately."
