Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, which has achieved significant degrees in sports activities, continues its success in Handball as well. KAEU Women's Handball Team participated in the UNILIG Handball Regional League Competitions organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation, hosted by Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, between 19-23 December 2022. At the end of five competitions held at Taşçiftlik Campus Sports Hall of Gaziosmanpaşa University, KAEU Women's Handball Team came first.

On the first day of the competitions played at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Women's Handball Team faced Gaziantep University and won the match with a score of 40-14. KAEU Women's Handball Team defeated the home team Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University with a score of 33-21 on the second day of the competition and defeated Yozgat Bozok University with a score of 40-34 on the third day. On the fourth day, it defeated Erciyes University with a score of 28-18, and on the fifth day, it defeated Middle East Technical University (METU) with a score of 45-26.

At the end of the competitions, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Women's Handball Team received their cup and medals from the Rector of Gaziosmanpaşa University Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz with Team Coaches Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kazım Kaya.
