The Journal of Social Sciences Institute (AEÜSBED) was indexed in Q1, the highest level in the Quartile Slices published for the first time for 2021, based on the impact factor data by the SOBIAD Citation Index. AEÜSBED was ranked 2nd among 242 journals in the Basic Field of Educational Sciences, ranked 2nd among 85 journals in the Basic Field of Philology, and ranked 3rd among 519 journals in the Basic Field of Social, Humanitarian and Administrative Sciences, with an impact factor of 1.495.
AEÜSBED Keeps Succeeding Every Year
While AEÜSBED ranked 38th in 2019 with an impact factor of 0.625, it rose to the 4th place among 1,367 journals in 2020 with an impact factor of 1.021. The magazine took its third place, with a steady rise in 2021, with an impact factor of 1.495. By taking place in Q1 slice in 2022, it added a new achievement.
Director of the Institute of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Ayfer Şahin is the editor-in-chief of the journal, which continues its activities under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek. The secretariat is cariied out by Res. Asst. Fatma Cahide Özçelik, Res. Asst. Dildar Özaslan, and Res. Asst. Semra Omak, while the typesetting and layout processes are carried out by Asst. Prof. Dr. Gül Özüdoğru.
What are the Quartile Slices?
The Q value of an academic journal represents the 25 quantile obtained by dividing into quarters the number of journals in the field in which the journal is published. The first quartile has the top 25% of the journals and gets the Q1 score and the last quartile gets Q4 score. And so, the second 25% slice takes Q2 score and the third 25% slice takes Q3 score.
The SOBIAD Quartiles are determined according to the Inter-University Board (ÜAK) as Education Sciences, Science and Mathematics, Philology, Fine Arts, Law, Theology, Architecture, Planning and Design, Engineering, Health Sciences, Social Humanities and Administrative Sciences, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and Sports Sciences, which are the Basic Fields.
