Organized in partnership with Kırşehir Ahi Evran University and Center of Scientific and Methodological Research (ILMAR), the “Reconstruction of Knowledge in the Light of Tavhid Thought International Council/Shura” hosed by KAEU started. Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, ILMAR Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Osman Şimşek, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gökbel, academic and administrative staff, and students attended the council, which started with the opening ceremony on December 1, 2022 at the Aşık Paşa Hall of Ahi Evran Congress and Culture Center.
Prof Dr Osman Şimşek: “We must Reveal the Value of our Original Civilization for the Pursuit of the New World”
ILMAR Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Osman Şimşek made the opening speech of the Reconstruction of Knowledge in the Light of Tavhid Thought International Council/Shura and talked about the importance of the council. Emphasizing that the current paradigm of thought would have no place in the new world and that a new system of thought was necessary for the world, Şimşek noted that that system should have been realized in the light of Tawhid thought in all Islamic Civilizations. Explaining that the whole world needed the construction of a new civilization, Prof. Dr. Osman Şimşek said, “We must reveal our own unique civilization value for the pursuit of a new world.”. Şimşek, who also gave information about İLMAR, stated that the understanding of scientific activity of İLMAR was carried out through Tawhidi thought. Prof. Dr. Osman Şimşek, who said that they were aiming to apply the method of Tawhidi thought of Islamic Civilizations rather than the Positivist thought method of the West, added that they organized symposiums, congresses, conferences, and councils by working in cooperation with universities. Şimşek thanked everyone who contributed to the realization of the Reconstruction of Knowledge in the Light of Tavhid Thought International Council/Shura, and wished the Council to be fruitful.
Rector Karakaya: “Metaphysics Needs to be Revised Innovatively by Fitting in the Frame of Mind”
After the speech of Prof. Dr. Osman Şimşek, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya took the floor and made a speech. In his speech, Rector Karakaya stated that universities were the highest institution that produced knowledge, transformed the knowledge it produced into culture and aimed to reveal human competencies. Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who explained that the most universal structure on the main basis of the human being was to determine the policy makers, explained that after the 15th century, the policy makers switched from metaphysics to mathematics. Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya emphasized that metaphysics had not taken place in the post-modern thought structure that had dominated for 600 years, and noted that Anatolian Civilization should have developed metaphysics in an original way by reintroducing it into its mentality. Rector Karakaya, emphasizing that branching should have been abandoned in the new system of thought needed by the new world, continued as follows: “Branching brings blindness in scientific studies. For example, a scientist who only works on finger will have no knowledge about the hand. This is a limited science and scientific study.” Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who said that metaphysics to be a principle setter again, added that it would be easier to read the universe with metaphysics and belief. Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya expressed their great pleasure in hosting the Reconstruction of Knowledge in the Light of Tavhid Thought International Council/Shura, as Kırşehir Ahi Evran University.
After the speech of the Rector Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, the opening session of the council started. At the opening session moderated by Vice-Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gökbel, Faculty Member of Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Prof. Dr. Kazım Sarıkavak made a presentation titled "An Essay on the Concepts of Good and Evil in the Qur'an in the Context of Monotheistic Thought". Faculty Member of Ankara University Prof. Dr. Seyfettin ERŞAHİN made a presentation on “On the Formation of Turkish Siyer Literature (The Example of Turkey Turks)”, while Faculty Member of Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Prof. Dr. Osman Şimşek presented the study titled “Fundamentals of Reconstruction of Science Branches According to the Understanding of 'Tawhid Thought', which is the 'Common Founding Method' of the Islamic/Turkish-Islamic World”. In addition, Faculty Member of Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Prof. Dr. Ahmet AK made a presentation titled “Evaluation of the Turkish Tax System in Terms of Tawhidi Thought”.
After the opening session, the council continued with other sessions. The Reconstruction of Knowledge in the Light of Tavhid Thought International Council/Shura, which started on December 1, 2022, will end on December 2, 2022.
