Every Aspect of Çiçekdağı Symposium, organized in partnership with Kırşehir Governorship, Çiçekdağı District Governorate, Çiçekdağı Municipality, and Kırşehir Ahi Evran University has started at our university. Governor of Çiçekdağı District Rabia Nacar, Mayor of Çiçekdağı Hasan Hakanoğlu, Vice-Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gökbel, academicians, administrative staff, and students attended the symposium held at Çiçekdağı Vocational School on 24 November 2022.
Asssoc. Prof. Dr. Serdar Baltacı, the Director of Çiçekdağı Vocational School, made the opening speech of the Every Aspect of Çiçekdağı Symposium, which started with the opening ceremony, and he explained the aim of the symposium. Baltacı emphasized that the symposium was held in order to bring together and introduce researchers who conducted and would conduct research on all subjects related to the Çiçekdağı district, to discuss the issues scientifically, and to better introduce the Çiçekdağı district to the researchers and listeners in all aspects. Baltacı said, "In addition to the promotion, it is aimed to create a comprehensive booklet of 'Every Aspect of Çiçekdağı Symposium' that brings together all the research covering the Çiçekdağı town in a wide range."
After the speech of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serdar Baltacı, Vice-Rector of KAEU and Chairman of the Symposium Organizing Committee Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gökbel took the floor and gave information about the projects of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University. Emphasizing that our university had implemented many projects that ensured the development of the province and region, Gökbel noted that such symposiums played an important role in the promotion of the province and region. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gökbel, who said that they were in cooperation in all kinds of studies that would benefit the region, province and university, wished the Every Aspect of Çiçekdağı Symposium to be fruitful.
Rektör Yardımcısı Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gökbel’in konuşmasının ardından Çiçekdağı Belediye Başkanı Hasan Hakanoğlu söz alarak konuşmasını gerçekleştirdi. Hakanoğlu konuşmasında Çiçekdağı ilçesinin tanıtılması amacıyla gerçekleştirilen her türlü etkinliğe destek verdiklerini belirterek, önceliklerinin her zaman Çiçekdağı ilçesi olduğunu vurguladı. Geniş kapsamlı düzenlenen Her Yönüyle Çiçekdağı Sempozyumunun ilimize çok fazla katkısı olacağına inandığını söyleyen Başkan Hasan Hakanoğlu, sempozyumun başarılı geçmesi temennisinde bulundu.
After the speech of Vice*Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gökbel, Mayor of Çiçekdağı Hasan Hakanoğlu took the floor and delivered his speech. In his speech, Hakanoğlu stated that they supported all kinds of activities to promote the town of Çiçekdağı and emphasized that Çiçekdağı was always their priority. President Hasan Hakanoğlu, who stated that he believed that the comprehensive Every Aspect of Çiçekdağı Symposium would contribute greatly to the city, wished the symposium to be successful.
After the opening speeches, the opening session of the symposium started. In addition to chairing the opening session, Prof. Dr. İlhan Şahin made his presentation titled “Notes on the Formation of the Çiçekdağı Region”. Dr. Doğan Kaya made the presentation titled “Çiçekdağı in Poetry and Folk Songs” while Prof. Dr. Seyfullah Korkmaz and Sevilay Buse Gök presented “Çiçekdağı District (Mecidiye) according to the Hijri 1325/1907 Gregorian Year Yearbook”. On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Metin Özarslan and MA Ergün Veren presented “Çiçekdağı Martyrs and Veterans from the First World War to the Present” and Prof. Dr. İbrahim Yılmaz “Mecidiye (Çiçekdağı) of Ankara Province District according to the 1318/1900 Year Yearbook”.
After the opening session, the symposium continued with other sessions. Every Aspect of Çiçekdağı Symposium, which started on November 24, 2022, will end on November 26, 2022.
