The Workshop of Traditional and Complementary Medicine (GETAT) Training was held within the scope of the 2nd International Ahi Evran Medicine and Health Sciences Congress organized by KAEU. Kırşehir Governor Hüdayar Mete Buhara, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, rectors of stakeholder universities, representatives, and academic and administrative staff attended the workshop held on 17 November 2022 in the Senate Hall.

The Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who made the opening speech of the workshop, said that they came together with rectors of stakeholder universities and representatives to talk, discuss and agree on how to make GETAT methods more applicable in our country. Wishing that the workshop would be beneficial for our country, Rector Karakaya thanked all university rectors and representatives who participated in the workshop.

After the speech of the Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, the faculty member of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Prof. Dr. Salih Mollahaliloğlu made his presentation titled "The Workshop of Traditional and Complementary Medicine Training". In his presentation, Mollahaliloğlu made the definition of GETAT and noted that it could also be defined as "a treatment and care system used with medical treatment as complementary". Referring to the numerical data on the use of GETAT methods in the treatment of diseases in the world, Prof. Dr. Salih Mollahaliloğlu also explained the current situation in Turkey and said, “After the Ministry of Health published the regulation on Traditional and Complementary Medicine, universities started to establish Traditional and Complementary Medicine Application and Research Centers one by one. ”.

After the presentation of Prof. Dr. Salih Mollahaliloğlu, stakeholder university rectors and their representatives exchanged ideas on the implementation of GETAT, training on GETAT methods, and making GETAT treatment widespread in our country.

At the end of the workshop, the Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya presented gifts to the rectors and representatives of stakeholder universities who attended the Workshop of Traditional and Complementary Medicine (GETAT) Training in memory of the day.
