A tree planting campaign was carried out across the country on November 11, 2022, within the framework of the theme "Breath to the Turkish Century", organized under the coordination of the TR Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Kırşehir Governor Hüdayar Mete Buhara, Kırşehir Deputy Mustafa Kendirli, Kırşehir Mayor Selahattin Ekicioğlu, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, Kırşehir protocol, NGO representatives, students, and public attended the tree planting event held in Aşık Paşa Nature Park in Kırşehir.

''We are Happy to be a Breath to the Turkish Century and the Future''

With the participation of people from all strata, 4 million trees were planted in 1023 different locations in 81 provinces. Making a comment after the planting in Kırşehir, Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya said, “As a university, we are proud to participate in the biggest tree planting campaign of our Republic history every year. On our National Afforestation Day, we are happy to be a breath to the Turkish century and the future. Kırşehir is a province suitable for afforestation, we are working on afforestation in certain areas of our university. Such activities contribute to the increase of the love of trees and forests in our country and to increase the sensitivity of individuals towards the environment.
