The Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya attended the Youth and Family Workshop organized at Kayseri University. The workshop, which was held on November 4, 2022, at Kayseri University, 15 Temmuz Campus Congress and Culture Center, was held in partnership with Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, Kayseri Governorship, Talas Municipality, Erciyes University, Kayseri University and Kayseri Provincial Representative of Cihannüma Association for Solidarity and Cooperation Platform.

The workshop, which started with the opening speeches, continued with the panel moderated by Rector of Kayseri University Prof. Dr. Kurtuluş Karamustafa. In the panel, Üsküdar University Founding Rector of Prof Dr Nevzat Tarhan presented "Youth in a Changing World", Rector of İzmir Katip Çelebi University Prof. Dr. Saffet Köse presented "Modernity and Family". Moreover, "Technology Addiction and Youth" by Prof. Dr. Orhan Koçak and “Degeneration of Family, Morals, and Values” by Dr. Şöhret Karaduman were also presented.

Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who participated in the Youth and Family Workshop, gave information about the workshop and stated that field experts shared their opinions regarding “Addiction”, “Religious and Moral Values”, “Social Policies”, “Employment-Career”, “Marriage, Family Communication”, “Generation Conflict”, “Youth and Gender Issues”. Rector Karakaya, who stated that such activities were very significant today, mentioned the importance of preserving the Turkish family structure and explained that factors such as urbanization, technology, and industrialization caused differentiations in the Turkish family structure. Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who also said that the Youth and Family Workshop gave a vital service, wished that such activities would increasingly continue.

At the end of the panel, the Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya presented a gift to the Founding Rector of Üsküdar University Prof. Nevzat Tarhan.
