Take off International Entrepreneurship Summit, Istanbul 2022, organized as part of TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, was held at Istanbul Technical University Süleyman Demirel Convention Center on October 25-27. Asst. Prof. Dr. Şefik Tekle who is a faculty member of the Department of Food of Processing Kaman Vocational School successfully represented our university and our city by being among the first 75 enterprises among 944 applications with its project and entrepreneurship.

Take-Off Istanbul, which was held for the fifth time this year under the leadership of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation, the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkiye, and the Presidential Investment Office, brought together 75 entrepreneurs, 35 mentors, 29 investors, and 23 institutions from 62 countries. At the Take-Off Istanbul Summit, which brings together future-shaping technology leaders from Turkey and the world, multinational companies, and all stakeholders of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, Asst.Prof. Dr. Şefik Tekle became the center of attention with his project on gelatin, protein powder, and bioactive peptide production from fish wastes. Providing information to national and international stakeholders about the project, Tekle held meetings with investors for the productions of related products in our country, which are not produced in our country and cause economic losses.
