The Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya attended the Celebration Ceremony of October 29, Republic Day. The first of the ceremonies, which took place on 28 - 29 October 2022, took place in Cacabey Square. Kırşehir Governor Hüdayar Mete Buhara, Kırşehir Deputy Metin İlhan, Mayor Selahattin Ekicioğlu, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, provincial protocol, teachers, students, and citizens attended the celebration ceremony.

The ceremony started on October 28 with the laying of a wreath at the Atatürk Monument, a moment of silence, and the singing of the National Anthem. The celebrations of the 99th anniversary of the day, on which the War of Independence ended successfully and the Republic of Turkey was founded, continued on Saturday, October 29, with accepting congratulations of the Governor of Kırşehir Hüdayar Mete Buhara. After the Janissary Band concert, poems were recited and a folk dance performance was performed by the students. The October 29, Republic Day celebrations will end with the torchlight procession to be held in the evening.
