Within the scope of the TUYEP Project, the Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya participated as a speaker at the International Conference of Turkish Qualifications Framework (TQF) held in Istanbul. The conference, held between 26-27 October 2022, was carried out in order to increase awareness about TQF by sharing good experiences on TQF and National Qualifications Framework (NQF) practices such as complementation of qualifications in frameworks, recognition of prior learning, credit and inter-stakeholder communication mechanisms.

The Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who made the opening speech at the International Conference of Turkish Qualifications Framework (TQF), stated that the Turkish Qualifications Framework was a national qualifications framework that presented all qualification principles gained through general, vocational, and academic education and training programs and other learning paths, including primary, secondary and higher education. Noting that universities were important institutions for individuals to gain the qualifications, Rector Karakaya explained that the Council of Higher Education (CoHE) was carrying out studies to gain these qualifications. Emphasizing that quality studies were a part of that process and that KAEU had accomplished very important works in that regard, Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya noted that they developed the "Ahi Evran University Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS)" software, which was the domestic and national software of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University. Rector Karakaya stated that in addition to IQMS, they developed the Ahi Competence-Based Digital Education Portal (AYDEP), which was an important step in quality and for young people to gain proficiency. He said that AYDEP was a student-friendly system that guaranteed what we would teach, in a way that was free from arbitrariness and subjective phenomena, and it was completely focused on the success of the student while it matched what was learned with the exam, and what should have been learned with the related materials. The Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who explained that AYDEP enabled young people to study at university and gain proficiency in their fields, noted that all the studies carried out in this context were very valuable for our country.

Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya said that universities had created a new framework with their quality processes and that they had proven their competence by obtaining institutional accreditation within that framework, and said that our university had received a 5-Year Full Accreditation certificate in the light of those studies. Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who stated in his speech that accreditation was a means for academic quality, transparency, and accountability, emphasized that universities included quality assurance systems, education and training, research and development, social contribution, and management systems. At the end of his speech, Rector Karakaya emphasized that international qualifications studies provided the opportunity for lifelong learning and wished the International Conference of Turkish Qualifications Framework (TQF) to be fruitful.

After the speech of the Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, the conference continued with sessions.
