Ahi Competence-Based Digital Education Project (AYDEP), which guaranteed the quality education and was brought to the higher education by KAEU was introduced to Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. The program started with the visit of the Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, and the Chairman of the Board of Education and Discipline Prof. Dr. Cihad Demirli to the Rector of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, Prof. Dr. Hamdullah Şevli on June 28, 2022, and continued with the introduction of AYDEP.

What makes AYDEP is its Competence-Based Structure

Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya gave information about the Ahi Competence-Based Digital Education Portal and stated that AYDEP was an exemplary study. In his speech, Rector Karakaya pointed out that concrete evaluations should be made in line with the strategic plan in the quality process and he said, “It is important that quality process is carried out effectively, especially in education. In line with the competence framework program, course objectives must be determined, and measurement and evaluation processes must be planned and implemented accordingly. We focused on that system to ensure the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation processes of education and training processes are carried out over an internet-based learning management system in accordance with the determined standards and to establish a quality assurance system in education. Unlike other learning methods, AYDEP has a competence-based structure.”

After the presentation of Rector Karakaya, Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Quality Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ferda Karakuş, Assistant Coordinators Asst. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Gaye Çenesiz and Asst. Prof. Dr. Halil İbrahim Özok, and Quality Coordinatorship Members Atilla Emre Keskin and Ömer Faruk Özdemir gave information to Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya and Chairman of the Board of Education Prof. Dr. Cihat Demirli about their quality work at the rectorate office.

At the end of the meeting, the Rector of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Prof. Dr. Hamdullah Şevli, who emphasized that the cooperation of universities in their studies and projects would contribute to scientific production, expressed his satisfaction with the visit and thanked the Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya and Chairman of the Board of Education Prof. Dr. Cihad Demirli.
