Organized in cooperation with the Marketing and Marketing Research Association and the Business Administration Department of the KAEU Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, the 26th Marketing Congress started at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University. Deputy-Mayor of Kırşehir Osman Uçar, Rector of Arel University Prof. Dr. Ercan Gerez, Rector of Abdullah Gül University Prof. Dr. Cengiz Yılmaz, Marketing and Marketing Research Association (PPAD) Chairman of the Board of Directors Prof. Dr. Selçuk Burak Haşıoğlu, academic and administrative staff, and students attended the congress, which started with the opening program at Ahi Evran Congress and Culture Center Neşet Ertaş Hall on June 23, 2022. In the Marketing Congress, where different themes are handled each year, the main theme of this year was determined as "The Effect of Tones and Rhythms on the Marketing Strategies of the Brands".

Prior to the congress, the Rector of Arel University Prof. Dr. Ercan Gerez and the Rector of Abdullah Gül University Prof. Dr. Cengiz Yılmaz visited the Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya individually in his office. During the visit, ideas were exchanged about the general situation of universities. Expressing his satisfaction with the visits, Rector Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya thanked the Rector of Arel University Prof. Dr. Ercan Gerez and the Rector of Abdullah Gül University Prof. Dr. Cengiz Yılmaz.



After the visit, the 26th Marketing Congress was held. Before the opening program, KAEU Neşet Ertaş Faculty of Fine Arts faculty members Assoc. Dr. Satı Doğanyiğit, Dr. Şenol Afacan, Inst. Sinan Tüfekçi, Inst. Kenan Tüfekçi and Halil İbrahim Okur gave a singing concert to the participants.

The opening program of the 26th Marketing Congress started after the concert. The first opening speech of the 26th Marketing Congress was made by the President of the Congress Organizing Committee, Prof. Dr. Musa Özata. In his speech, Özata stated that they were happy to host the congress and said, “Inclusion of Kırşehir in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of music and the 10th death anniversary of Neşet Ertaş made us determine the main theme of the congress as 'The Effect of Tones and Rhythms on the Marketing Strategies of Brands'. Prof. Dr. Musa Özata explained that music had an important place in life for long ages and that it was used for many different purposes such as motivation, health, and entertainment. He emphasized that music was a phenomenon with various and pluralistic applications in contemporary societies, and at the same time, it was a factor affecting the purchasing behavior of consumers. Özata thanked everyone who contributed to the congress and wished the congress to be productive.

After the speech of Chairman of the Congress Organizing Committee Prof. Dr. Musa Özata, Chairman of the PPAD Board of Directors Prof. Dr. Selçuk Burak Haşıoğlu, took the floor and gave information about the activities of the association. Haşıoğlu thanked everyone who contributed to the organization of the congress and wished the congress to be successful.

After the speech of Chairman of PPAD Prof. Dr. Selçuk Burak Haşıoğlu, Prof. Dr. Elif Karaosmanoğlu who is the Vice President of Conferences of the European Marketing Academy (EMAC) took the floor. Karaosmanoğlu, who gave detailed information about the activities of the association and the start of marketing congresses in Turkiye, said that it was significant to participate in national and international events for the dissemination of science produced in Turkiye.

After the speech of Prof. Dr. Elif Karaosmanoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS) Prof. Dr. Nur Çetin made a speech. In her speech, Çetin stated that they were pleased to host the 26th Marketing Congress and wished the congress to be productive.

After the speech of the Dean of FEAS Prof. Dr. Nur Çetin Deputy-Mayor of Kırşehir Osman Uçar took the stage, and he stated that music was an art that has a remarkable effect on the consumer behaviors and the use of marketing strategies. He wished success to all the academicians who contributed to the congress and his good wishes to the congress.

After the speech of Deputy-Mayor of Kırşehir Osman Uçar, Faculty Member of Bolu İzzet Baysal Prof. Dr. Evren Kutlay made a speech. In his speech, Kutlay talked about “Strategic Management of Marketing Activities with Music” and shared his broad knowledge.

After the opening speeches, the 26th Marketing Congress sessions started. 26th Marketing Congress will end with a Cappodocia tour on 25 June 2022.
