Ahi Competence-Based Digital Education Project (AYDEP), which guarantees quality education developed by Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, attracted the attention of the national press. In this context, the TRT News channel conducted an interview with the Rector of KAEU Prof Dr. Vatan Karakaya in Kırşehir.
AYDEP, which offers both formal and online courses during the COVID-19 process, was developed in the process and became the first local software in Turkiye. By means of AYDEP, which determines what students should learn and at what level, twenty thousand students can take course at the same time. The project, registered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, is being implemented in all departments of the university today.
''Designing the Best for the Student''
Indicating that the system provided convenience to both students and instructors, the Rector of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya made the following statements to TRT News: "Our program is a triple system, which is whole and complete with its design, the process control, and evaluation, without any logical deficiencies or any faults. Thereafter, we came up with a design that enables the same process of formal education in the online system via its sub-sections. The system provides convenience to both the instructors and students. For example, if the prepared question does not have a certain level of reliability and validity, the system eliminates it. It says you can't ask this question in the exam. In other words, it designs everything on a scientific scale, under the cycle of artificial intelligence, in a way that reflects the best of the student. You evaluate the student based on the level you teach, and that is how you determine the proficiency. This is what our system guarantees.”
It is aimed to expand the AYDEP system, which leads up to a virtual university, to be implemented in other universities as well.
