KAEU steadily continues to break ground with many firsts, innovations, science, and community service practices. Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, which has been on the journey of raising quality people since 2016, has been entitled to receive the Full Institutional Accreditation Certificate, which has been granted to only five universities by THEQC for five years. The Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya organized an iftar invitation on April 29, 2022, to share this critical point and developments in KAEU with the members of the press. The members of the press showed great interest in the invitation, in which representatives of the local and national press came together.

KKAEU was Promoted to the Super League by Outperforming Many Well-established Universities

Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya started his speech by emphasizing the importance of sharing important developments of institutions with the media and thanked the members of the press, who could not meet because of the pandemic, for their participation in the meeting. Rector Karakaya stated that today, they received the good news that Kırşehir Ahi Evran University was promoted to the super league, leaving many well-established universities behind and that they wanted to share this joy with the members of the press. Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who explained that they were evaluated out of 1000 points with 22 criteria and 56 sub-criteria parameters set by THEQC, said that KAEU was evaluated based on these criteria and was granted the Full Institutional Accreditation Certificate.

If there is a Quality Process Even for a Pin, there should be a Quality Process in order to Give an Account of the People we Train.

Karakaya emphasized that they have been pursuing a quality and value system for six years and they prioritized the values of Ahi-Order, as a result, today they established a quality assurance system in Turkish Higher Education. Continuing his words by stating that there is no hope without quality, Karakaya said: “In this sense, CoHE realized that there would be no hope without quality and established the Higher Education Quality Board. Meanwhile, we questioned that if there was a quality process even for the production of a pin, shouldn't we have a quality system to account for the people we train? Allah has granted us and we have established this system at the point we have reached and now we are a brand institution that exports quality. We passed the serious evaluation of THEQC, we were asked to prove our claims, we were subjected to consistency tests, and finally, we became one of the universities that deserved the full five-year accreditation process at the end of the process. Moreover, KAEU was one of the two universities that were established after 2006 and received the certificate.”

"Accredited University" Indication of KAEU in ÖSYM Preferences will Increase Student Quality

Prof Dr. Vatan Karakaya noted that KAEU had become a university where ordinary and arbitrary practices could no longer exist and he drew attention to another important point that the indication of 'accredited university' would appear with Kırşehir Ahi Evran University on the OSYM website. Karakaya stated that it was important because the student would prefer a university with a registered quality, and consequentially, that would increase the quality of the students.

KAEU will Now Give the Graduate Students a "Quality Certificate of Open for Circulation"

Continuing his speech by informing that THEQC was responsible for 27 international accreditation institutions, Karakaya said that the students would benefit from this and that the graduates would be given the "National Quality Certificate of Open for Circulation". Karakaya emphasized that a new system, in which the future of young people would be prioritized and an education that was indexed with quality would be supplied, would be applied and noted that the five-year full accreditation process was also a "Rectorship Project" for him.

At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who also talked about the other projects of the university and answered the questions of the members of the press, thanked them for their support during the process, which was important for the university.
