A conference titled "Historical Buildings, Their Restoration and Transferring to Future Generations" was held by the Department of Civil Engineering of KAEU Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. Branch Manager of Art Works and Construction Affairs of Kayseri Regional Directorate of Foundations Taha Demirci and Faculty Member of Archeology Department Dr. Ömer Uzunel attended the conference held at the Milli İrade Hall on 15 July as speakers.

The opening speech of the conference was made by the Vice-Rector of KAEU and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt. In his speech, Dr. Kurt emphasized the importance of maintenance of historical buildings in a timely manner and restoring them in accordance with their historical texture without damaging their originals and stated that in that way they could be passed on to future generations. After the speech of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt, Taha Demirci, the Branch Manager of Art Works and Construction Affairs of Kayseri Regional Directorate of Foundations, made the presentation titled "The Concept of Foundation, The Foundation Artifacts, Transferring them to Future Generations: Examples from Kırşehir and its Surroundings" and Faculty Member of Archeology Department Dr. Ömer Uzunel, made the presentation titled “Protection of "Technological Approaches in the Preservation and Transfer of Cultural Heritage”. After the presentations, the conference ended with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to both speakers.
