On March 8, International Women's Day, which is celebrated with various events every year, a panel discussion was held in partnership with KAEU Fatma Bacı Women's Studies Application and Research Center and Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Vice-Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gökbel, deans, principals, academic and administrative staff, and students attended the panel discussion held on March 8, 2022, at the Ahi Evran Congress and Culture Center, July 15 Milli İrade Hall.

The panel first started with the opening speech made by Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gökbel. In his speech, Gökbel touched on the place of women in our lives and evaluated the perspectives of European countries on women. Explaining in detail the effects of beliefs on women, Prof. Dr. Gökbel said that according to some beliefs, a woman burns to death on her husband's funeral pyre. Saying that in some European countries all responsibilities in family, business and life areas were on women, Gökbel explained the value that Islam places on women in detail and celebrated the International Women's Day (8 March) of all women at the end of his speech.

After the speech of Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gökbel, Prof. Dr. Kubilay Kolukırık from Neşet Ertaş Faculty of Fine Arts and his team gave a music concert. Neşet Ertaş Faculty of Fine Arts Music Department students performed various works in the music concert.

After the music concert, the panel discussion started. In the panel discussion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emine Şener, from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, took the floor and made a presentation titled “Woman in the Triangle of Work-Life-Family ”. In her presentation, Şener said that women were divided into two as housewives and working women, emphasizing that they worked both at home and in their business life. Explaining in detail the place of women in work, life, and family, Dr. Şener celebrated International Women's Day (8 March) of all women at the end of her presentation.

After the presentation of Associate Professor Emine Şener, Asst. Prof. Dr. Suzan Yıldırım from the Faculty of Islamic Sciences stook the floor and made her presentation titled “Women in Islam”. In her presentation, Yıldırım explained the place of women in the religion of Islam and said that Islam contradicted the period when newborn girls were buried. Stating that the value of women was declared once again with the religion of Islam, Asst. Prof. Dr. Suzan Yıldırım celebrated International Women's Day at the end of her presentation.

After the presentations, a certificate of appreciation was given to the panelists.
