The Provincial Promotion and Development Meeting, which was organized to develop the tourism potential of Kırşehir, was held under the chairmanship of Governor İbrahim Akın. Governor İbrahim Akın, Mayor of Kırşehir Selahattin Ekicioğlu, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya and institution managers attended the meeting held in Kırşehir Governorship on February 11, 2022.

Studies will be carried out to increase the tourism potential of the city
Governor İbrahim Akın, who made the opening speech of the meeting, said that a developmental plan for the tourism potential will be prepared by determining the important promotional elements of our city. Stating that they would hold consultations on the better promotion of Kırşehir, the city of history, culture, and music, Akın said, “In today's meeting, we came together with the representatives of the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency, as well as the representatives of public and non-governmental organizations operating in the field of tourism in our city. We will discuss and decide on the issues to higher the position of our city in tourism and increase the number of visitors to our city. As you all know, Kırşehir is a city with a rich cultural heritage and thermal resources. We aim to introduce the values we have in the best way possible. I believe that the decisions we will take at the meeting will contribute to the development of tourism in our city.”

"UNESCO City of Music Kırşehir International Music Conference" will be held in cooperation with KAEU- Kırşehir Municipality
Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya shared his views on the meeting and stated that the Provincial Promotion and Development Board had undertaken important missions to increase the tourism potential of Kırşehir and they would do their part as a university. Emphasizing the importance of promoting the historical, cultural, and folkloric values ​​of Kırşehir to reach different audiences, Karakaya stated that they would organize the "UNESCO City of Music Kırşehir International Music Conference" on May 17-18, 2022, in cooperation with Kırşehir municipality and university, in Kırşehir, which has been selected as a UNESCO City of Music.
