The Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya was elected as a Member of the Higher Education Quality Council of Turkey (THEQC) Representing CoHE

Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who pioneered the universities in Turkiye with his understanding of quality in higher education, was elected as a Member of the Higher Education Quality Council of Turkey (THEQC) to represent the Higher Education Council (CoHE) with the approbation of the President of the Higher Education Council, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar in the meeting of CoHE General Assembly dated 18.01.2022.



Rector Karakaya, who made a short statement after he was elected as a member of the Higher Education Quality Council of Turkey (THEQC), said that he would try to fulfill this important duty given to him on this path, with the understanding that "The way to train quality people in universities is through quality assurance in education and management". Karakaya thanked CoHE President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar and Higher Education Quality Council members due to his election as a member of the Higher Education Quality Council of Turkey (THEQC).

We wish success to the Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who developed the "Ahi Evran Integrated Quality Management System" and made Kırşehir Ahi Evran University a university that is managed with a quality assurance system both in education and administration, and who demonstrated the understanding of model university with the works started since 2015.

What is THEQC?

The THEQC’s mission is to strengthen quality assurance systems in higher education in order to contribute to the continuous development of higher education institutions in Turkey and the achievement of universal qualifications by individuals. The Council’s vision is to be an effective and internationally recognized institution in the field of higher education quality assurance.
