The Ahi Competence-Based Education Management System (AYDEP) was introduced online at Sivas University of Science and Technology on 14 December 2021. Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, Rector of Sivas University of Science and Technology Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kul, KAEU AYDEP Deputy-Coordinator Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek and members of the Senate attended the meeeting.

AYDEP System has an Infrastructure that Meets the Standards for Accreditation

The opening speech of the meeting was made by the Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya. Karakaya stated that AYDEP is a model designed for the future of the Turkish Higher Education system and that it aimed quality of the system. Rector Karakaya explained that AYDEP is a very significant project for KAEU and gave information about the functions, principles and contributions of the system. Stating that the system has an infrastructure that meets all the standards needed for accreditation, Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya noted that the right curriculum, the right acquisition and the right measurement increase the functionality of the system.

AYDEP is an Integrated Learning Management System

Reminding that AYDEP adopts a student-centered education and has a competency-based hierarchical structure, Rector Karakaya said: “There is a harmony between the program competencies and the learning outcomes of the courses. Having rich teaching materials and an interactive teaching environment, AYDEP is also in compliance with accreditation standards. AYDEP has all the necessary modules in the management of the teaching process and is an integrated learning management system. The modules work with integration of the student information system and there is information sharing between the modules. I would like to remind you again that KAEU will continue to make innovations in every field in order to raise well-equipped and qualified individuals for the future.”
After the speech of Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. After Vatan Karakaya, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek made his presentation titled “AYDEP and Quality Assurance System in Education”. Şimşek answered the questions of the Senate members of Sivas University of Science and Technology regarding the details of the system. After mutual exchange of ideas, the meeting ended.
