KAEU, which was included in the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP) and evaluated based on the program, successfully carried out the IAP process. A meeting was held at the university regarding the evaluation of the field visit carried out by the IAP Evaluation Team between 07-09 December 2021. After the IAP Field Visit, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, Vice-Rectors Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gökbel, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, Secretary-General Mehmet Zeki Küçük, Kırşehir City Council President Tahsin Üçgül, deans, directors, department presidents, academic and administrative staff and students attended the evaluation meeting held on 14 December 2021 at the Ahi Evran Congress and Culture Center of our University, at the 15 July National Will Hall.
Halil İbrahim Okur: “We are glad to be a student of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University”
Student Quality Ambassador Halil İbrahim Okur made the first speech regarding the evaluation of the Field Visit of the IAP Evaluation Team. In his speech, Okur stated that he was pleased that students were included in the meetings by most units both before and during the IAP process. Emphasizing that KAEU offers to students are more opportunities than other universities, Halil İbrahim Okur said, “At the beginning of the pandemic, while our friends at other universities had not started education yet, we continued our education through the AYDEP system.” said. Noting that he is glad to be a student of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Okur thanked the university senior management for enabling students to take part in the processes, the quality coordinator of the university for their support, the academic advisor of the youth quality community, faculty administrations and department chairs.
Ekrem Öztürk: “We are happy that Kırşehir Ahi Evran University is the Role Model of Higher Education of Quality in Turkiye”
After the speech of Student Quality Ambassador Halil İbrahim Okur, Deputy Coordinator of Quality Management Ekrem Öztürk took the floor and made a speech. In his speech, Öztürk stated that they started their quality journey 6 years ago and that they have got to a good point in this journey and stated that there is no final stop in the quality journey. Ekrem Öztürk, who thanked the Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who led the process, on behalf of his team, students, and stakeholders, noted that he is happy that Kırşehir Ahi Evran University is a role model in Turkey Higher Education.

After the speech of Deputy Coordinator of Quality Management Ekrem Öztürk, Deputy Coordinator of Quality Management Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek made a presentation titled “Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP): Preparation Process”. Şimşek gave detailed information about the IAP Evaluation process in the presentation. Expressing that the leadership of Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya is very important during the IAP process, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek thanked everyone involved in and contributed to the IAP process.
Tahsin Üçgül: “We are happy to see the success of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University”
After the speech of Deputy Coordinator of Quality Management Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Şimşek's speech, Kırşehir City Council President Tahsin Üçgül made a speech. In his speech, Üçgül explained that his relations with the university date back to a long time and noted that he made great efforts for the establishment of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University. Tahsin Üçgül, who also stated that he is pleased that the university has reached this point, thanked the Rector of KAEU, Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya and his team.

After the President of Kırşehir City Council Tahsin Üçgül, Vice-Rector and Quality Management Coordinator Prof. Mustafa Kurt made a speech. In his speech, Kurt gave information about the details of the quality journey that the university started in 2015 and said, “No gain without pain. As Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, we have worked hard to get to this point.” said. Emphasizing that we are an exemplary university that implements the Quality Management System in our country, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt thanked everyone involved in and contributed to the process, especially Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, in the process of quality.
Rector Karakaya: “As Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, we value people”
After the speech of Vice-Rector and Quality Management Coordinator Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya took the floor. Rector Karakaya started his speech by thanking everyone who accompined in the journey of quality, involved in and contributed to the process. Explaining that they came together to celebrate the success in the IAP process, Rector Karakaya said that the most important goal for them is to ensure the future of our young people, who are our future. Emphasizing that the target they set for the future of the youth is AYDEP, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya gave information about AYDEP, the Quality Assurance System in Education. Stating that AYDEP is an important system for educational institutions, Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya said "We will be able to say that every student who is an output of the AYDEP system is satisfactory." Rector Karakaya, who requested the AYDEP Coordinatorship to prepare a work plan and gave instructions for the development of the system, requested that the curricula of all departments of the university be changed and renewed until May. Stating that they should protect the trust by educating the young people entrusted to them in the best way, Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya said “As Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, we value people.”
Rector Karakaya: “The Most Important Thing Is not to be at the Top, but to Stay at the Top”
Saying that they also want to keep the Ahi-order values alive, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya stated that they will radiate the light of Ahi Evran-ı Veli from Kırşehir again. Rector Karakaya, explaining that KAEU has achieved significant success with the quality process, emphasized that students should be more involved in the process as well as staff. Rector Karakaya, who thanked everyone, especially the Quality Management Coordinatorship team, Vice-Rectors, Secretary-General, deans, managers and heads of departments, who contributed to the IAP process, concluded his speech as follows: “The important thing is not to be at the top, but to stay at the top. The next goal of the university will be more difficult which is maintaining sustainability.”
After the speeches, the Evaluation Meeting after the IAP Field Visit continued with a cocktail held in the Foyer Area of the Ahi Evran Congress and Culture Center.
