KAEU became one of the 12 universities in the "Institutional Accreditation Program" implemented by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) in the field of higher education in Turkey in 2021. Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, included in the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP), is ready for the Field Visit of the IAP Evaluation Team. On December 6, 2021, the last online meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya before the IAP Evaluation. At the meeting held with the top managers of the university and the quality management coordinator team, the schedule of the KAP Evaluation Team Field Visit, which will take place between 07-09 December 2021, and the latest status of the university were discussed.

Emphasizing that Kırşehir Ahi Evran University is a pioneering university with its quality studies, Rector of KAEU Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya said that he believes that KAEU will successfully complete the KAP Evaluation process. Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, who stated that they will get one step closer to their goal of raising quality people with IAP, said, “We will make every effort to raise quality people.” Noting that he believes that all units of the university are ready for the IAP Evaluation process, Rector Karakaya wished success to all the staff involved in the process.

IAP, which enables universities to be evaluated in the quality assurance system, education and training, research and development, social contribution, and administrative processes, aims to increase the contribution of universities in Turkey at the national level and their visibility in the world.

In the evaluation process, which is carried out in three stages by the evaluation teams formed by YÖKAK for the IAP, KAEU has reached the final stage which is the face-to-face visit. In this process, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University will be evaluated over 1000 points with 22 criteria and 56 sub-criteria parameters under the headings of the quality assurance system, education, research and development, social contribution, and management systems. As a result of the evaluation made by the evaluation team, the Institutional Accreditation Report will be prepared. According to this evaluation to be made by YÖKAK, KAEU will be given the "full accreditation" for 5 years if it gets a score of 650 and above; and it will be given the "conditional accreditation" for two years if it gets a score between 500 and 649.
