Çetin made a short speech on behalf of the graduating students and thanked their families and teachers. He stated that he completed his undergraduate education after a difficult 4-year education period, and now, he looked forward to meeting his future students. After his speech, Mehmet Erdem Çetin nailed his name on the graduation log and took his place among the Kırşehir Ahi Evran University graduates. Later, the graduate students took the Ahi Community Oath, stating that they would act in accordance with their profession and carry out their profession in the best way as individuals who are aware of their responsibilities, and they threw their graduation caps.

The opening speech was delivered by Rector Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya at the ceremony, which started with a moment of silence and the National Anthem. Karakaya started his speech by congratulating all the students and their families who graduated from Kırşehir Ahi Evran University.

Rector Karakaya: "We Must Build the Future on a Strong Basis by Planning it Step by Step"

Expressing that they left the academic year behind under certain limitations because of the negative conditions of the pandemic, Rector Karakaya stated that they completed the year through the AYDEP program, which was quickly put in place in the spring semester of the 2019-2020 academic year. Karakaya pointed out that they organized a limited organization as a graduation ceremony with large participation might pose risks. Karakaya explained to the students that they act with the objective of presenting a vision based on solid foundations and historical knowledge, and he noted that they bear the responsibility to reconcile all kinds of output with universal values. Karakaya called on the youth to try to transform their every moment into knowledge, learning, and production, and to plan the future step by step and build it on a strong basis.

Rector Karakaya: "The Youth Should Set a Goal to Be in Advance of the Time"

Underlining that students who graduate by making great efforts to shape the future should not be content with this step, Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya stated that young people should set themselves a goal of being advance of the time for greater steps in service to humanity. Rector Karakaya, who said that if there is faith, there are possibilities, reminded that there are many different ways to achieve their goals and it is necessary to try these ways. Emphasizing that belief and morality will motivate the individual to achieve goals, Karakaya asked the students to equip themselves with the skills needed in the future and contribute to the values of humanity.

Rector Karakaya: "We Must Put Values on the Axis of Our Lives"

In the last part of his speech, Karakaya reminded that as members of the Kırşehir Ahi Evran University family, young people should adopt a system in which they bring the values forward, not themselves. Addressing the families as well, Rector Karakaya asked them to be proud of their children, whom they raised with great care as a value to the future of our country since they are now self-confident and can stand on their feet.

At the end of the ceremony, graduation certificates and gifts were given to the students who ranked highest in their departments. Also, later on, academic units are going to organize their own graduation ceremonies.
